Hi all. Hoping one of the Trion people involved with the storytelling aspect of the Defiance game sees this post, because you currently have a serious flaw in how you approached Plague.
I didn't see the trailer for Plague until today, having completed the episode mission days ago.
Why weren't the scenes shown in the trailer shown in-game?? This was a bad story decision -- players who missed the trailer missed the set up. And because there was no set up for what was going on in-game, I had no real context to what was going on, I wasn't invested.
A significant missed opportunity, Trion. With all the focus on technology and gameplay (which are undoubtedly important), I very much hope you will pay the same attention to detail in how you approach the story for those of us who are following it (or trying to).![]()
