A few things overlooked in the upcoming DLC

Actually they have stated repeatedly in their livestreams that whoever bought the season pass or buys the individual DLC will get to change an already existing character to castithan for free, obviously new characters too.

They've ALSO said that you'd be able to buy character remake options from the bit shop.

The implication here is that the DLC lets you start a new character as a Castithan for free or change an existing character to a Castithan for a fee just like everyone else has to pay to remake their character. Castithan will be a DLC locked race so neither option will be available to nonDLC owners. They aren't going to hand out free character remakes when they'll probably charge as much as the DLC for those.

And the charge weapon types are from Trion (I think an AtB), blade performance is pretty visibly ****ty in the videos, and I'm not going to reveal my source for charge attack types.

I saw somewhere(IGN or something like that) that appearance change will be bought for scrip, not bits(don't ask a source, I am lazy, search for it).
More on topic, I really hope Battle Arenas are something really cool.

Has anyone pointed out that the items on the list were just placeholders? That's the old EGO layout. Everything was old. They showed gameplay from months ago during that E3 interview. That was from the "First Look" of Defiance, I think.

A couple of things (I'm not going to quote, but you can go back and see which posts I am referring to):

Yes, I didn't mention battle arenas because I was trying to mention things that I either didn't know about or didn't hear a lot about. In interviews they said there would be 3 new game modes. Battle arenas are just one. I don't know what the other two are, but I am assuming it is the Volge sieges and the Monolith ark falls (dark matter ark falls! cannot wait).

I have heard from several different sources that you have the option to make your first change to a Casti for free with the purchase of the DLC. Whether this is true or not, doesn't matter to me... my two favorite species (Human and Irathient) are already in game.

I still say that big charge gun is coldfire lol.

I did mention that I believe that the 6000 cap shield may be for the turrets... "'Players who upgrade turrets will get bonus points for the turrets' work.' That explains that weirdly names 6000 cap shield in that pic!" --yes I included my own typo.

Didn't mention the new voice options because that is well known (I think).

Whether that pic shows a new layout or not, that's not the point of why I posted it. I'm happy with the old layout so if it doesn't change, oh well. But (even if they are placeholder names) you have new shields (which I am assuming are for the turrets or for vehicles, but after delving into it, I'm leaning towards turrets). I'm sure the Von Bach stuff would get relabeled VBI. I doubt we can inventory an Ares. But it is still nice to have a pic, and that pic is what got me on the hunt. So Thank You Muffin!!! I think it was you who originally posted that pic on another thread.

This is a pretty meaty DLC (even before all the extra stuff I didn't know about). So even some of the things don't make it, I think it is well worth the money. I fail to see how this DLC looks like a loser. Oh well, to each their own I guess.

Yes, these items in this pic could be Dev-use items. I wasn't expecting any of it in-game before, so I won't be upset if they don't make it now. It won't make me dislike the game. It won't make me come to the game's forum and rant illogically. That doesn't do any good anyway, no one cares.

For a SHOOTING game, just to put a melee weapon in is incredible. I fail to see how the blade performance is shtako. Maybe it doesn't have the great animations of other melee MMOs like WoW or EQ.... oh, those don't have great performance animations either.

I still am very excited.

If you are bringing out new races, please bring out more character slots. I don't even care if I have to use bits (as long as it isn't like 10 bucks for 1 slot). All 4 of mine are used up (my main and my alt which I have never used past creation, my wife's, and my daughter's who only drives around the map on runners LoL).

Holy crap, Olaf.... I completely missed that.
Does that mean I don't have to scroll through 100+ items to find a mod to trade? Does that mean once I salvage item #97 in my inventory, I don't have to start back at #1 to scroll down to salvage #98? Even more excited!
