Syphon glitch is basically where you bug the gun you're using (e.g: VOT Fragger with Syphon effect) into proccing Syphon almost every two or three shots. It's a glitch by which you can just leech life from any player you're hitting all the time.
That is not a glitch, please stop labeling it as abusive behavior. It's not, that's how the game works right now.
The problem with siphon is two-fold; the nano effect itself and the way nano effect triggers work. The siphon nano effect itself does a flat 467 damage (or something along those lines) unmitigated. Nano effect triggers do not seem to be normalized across the board, meaning every weapon has an equal chance to trigger a nano effect on each bullet impact. The problem being that weapons like the Fragger and Tachmag output a ton of bullets when fired, giving them more opportunities to trigger siphon. Since the siphon nano effect does flat damage regardless of falloff or damage dealt on bullet impact, it makes these weapons incredibly strong.
I've said this, countless others have said it before me; siphon needs to be altered and nano triggers need to be normalized.
Siphon should not be dealing flat damage, that makes no sense. It leads to the current state we have now, where low damage bullets in high volume are preferred. Siphon should be percentage damage based on the bullet that triggered the effect. For example, if siphon were 10% of damage dealt, then a 100 damage shot would siphon an additional 10 health/shield. This would facilitate choice of higher damage weapons using siphon.
However, the above change would also require nano trigger normalization. Right now, each bullet regardless of weapon seems to have the same chance to trigger a nano effect. This means that high volumes of bullets are preferred over slower, burst type weapons. What I would like to see is a mathematical formula applied to each weapon that gives every weapon a roughly equal chance to trigger nano effects across a time period. For example, a bolt action sniper rifle would have very high nano effect trigger rates because it fires so slowly with only a single bullet. When compared to a Fragger, both weapons would have a similar count of nano effect triggers over a twenty second time period of continuous fire.

@Notturno and Greatdividers: Big lol fellas, then why do some people admit that it's a glitch they're using? Nobody is gonna admit to glitch abuse if they're not doing it!
My VOT Fragger with Syphon only procs once every 8 shells, sometimes even less, however, others have a VOT Fragger with Syphon that procs every 2 shells, which is (if you can count) 4 times more than normal. So how can you even defend a glitch by saying it's a normal game mechanic!
It can't be a normal game mechanic if other people with exactly the same weapon and exactly the same perks and exactly the same nano effect can't replicate the result of the so-called glitchers! It's glitching alright, don't try to deny it!
PS: That's just a big waste of text space you made there Notturno, because you didn't read enough about it, or didn't play enough PVP to encounter it!
so your entire argument is based on observations of RNG? hahahaha, that's good.
if in fact there is some glitch, post exactly how to do it. the sooner it is public knowledge, the sooner Trion will see it and fix it (if it actually needs fixing). until then you're just spouting BS.

Right, that's why those persons have personally admitted to me that they abused the Syphon glitch... What's even more funny is that you're still in denial smartypants. And i got footage of it, lots of people got footage of it, but because of the stupid policy on this forum (that you cannot mention names) i can't post who's using it or can't post footage of people using it, i already got 3 warnings for posting player names. All i can say is that they came from the clan Wiskey Tango Foxtrot, so go ask around there how to do it, instead of writing BS here, because your lack of knowledge amuses me! haha
Btw if you're trying to trick me in getting banned for mentioning names, then dream on!
I play enough.
It's not a glitch, it's simply gameplay mechanics that allow Fraggers and Tachmags to trigger nano effects faster than other weapons. It's not news, it's nothing special, it's just poorly balanced gameplay. There's really nothing else to it. I am not sure how else I can explain this to you, as I feel I've been very clear in outlining what it is, how it works, and why it needs to be changed.
Your assertion that people are getting four nano effect triggers in a single Fragger volley is, in my opinion, completely unfounded. There's no evidence of it beyond your single anecdotal claim. If this were the case, people would be dying in a single volley from a Fragger in every engagement. That would be incredibly suspect and would be a more widespread issue, not a single, isolated complaint from someone more intent on insulting others than discussing an issue.

Is this maybe what is causing the "Glitch" ? and what is going to be fixed in the upcoming patch.
- Fixed an exploit that was causing melee nano-effects on weapons to give a target hit the ability to proc the effect for you. For example, in PvP if you melee attacked someone with a weapon that procs a melee syphon nano-effect, when that person damaged other people in the same match, you would sometimes get a shield and health regeneration as if you had hit them.
