Should I change my preorder to PC?
First of all, not trying to troll, just getting an honest opinion from others.
After playing the Xbox beta for a while, I can say that I do enjoy the game a lot... the problem is that I can't seem to play it very long (I'm getting constant disconnects, triggered by just about anything, even something as simple as opening the menu), and when I am able to play, the graphics and gameplay don't seem very optimized for the console (i.e. it takes several seconds for objects to load when my character is standing right next to the object). The areas seem devoid of fellow players except for one or two people who occasionally appear then disappear randomly (I haven't seen more than two players on my screen at once). Add to that the Xbox is region locked... I kinda feel like:

I've got a decent gaming rig (it was powerful back in '09 when I built it... it's still pretty decent, can run most games with little to no lag), but I prefer the 360 due to most of my friends using the console primarily, not to mention I like the 360 controller (though I have a usb 360 controller so I can use it on pc games). Since this is an MMO, most of the people I typically play with are probably gonna pass, I'm just going to have to join a guild so that I can play with others. So should I just cancel my 360 order and switch to a Steam preorder? At this point it seems like Trion put most of their work into the PC release (they've had three betas for the PC release in order to optimize it, while only 1 beta for the consoles), so would it just be better if I went with that version?

Just stick with the Xbox Pre-order, all the issues you are encountering are the beta's fault, Trion can't release a broken game that disconnects every now and then. I'm sure the full game will run smoothly and with very little lag. And about the region lock, just hope that in full game, it will be otherwise

Thanks for the replies... guess I'll stick with my 360 preorder for now. There's still have two weeks (or a week and a half, anyway) so I'll just have to be paying close attention to all the press-releases and information released between the end of beta and the release to make my decision. Hopefully the game will be better optimized by then. The performance was pretty jarring though, even for a beta (the cut-scene frame rate was annoying, though I've seen that in even the PC gameplay videos... I haven't seen the long object loading times in those videos though, that's what was bothering me the most). Worse come to worse I just end up buying the PC version at a later date.
