    Well Shtako...Hmm though I wonder if this is in preparation for sieges? I mean perhaps when sieges and arkfalls happened it was too much so maybe the data they collected showed that too much of it was well too much and so they are reducing it. Though if this is true it seems like they would probably lump it together with the dlc instead of pushing it out this early :/

    They aren't reducing the frequency at which they occur, just making it to where no more than 2 major arkfalls occur at once. It's in the addendum notes. If someone were actually doing an arkfall the way they should be done, then it is nearly impossible to get three in at the given timeframe. The only people this hinders are those who run to one, pop off a few shots, run to another, do a few more shots, run to the third then collect 15 keys for hardly anything.

    Pretty soon, everyone would have started using this THEN everyone would start complaining that no one is finishing arkfalls. Either way, people complain... no one is never happy

    So...Blatantly showing Defiance players that you can't even be bothered to read the SECOND comment in the 1.022 discussion threat explaining this change, you proceed to create a SEPARATE thread complaining about the changes listed in another thread that are answered on the second comment.

    Its "We did this" with no why. Which makes it a placation really more than an explanation. Facts as to the reason they are reducing them would be a bit more helpful and make it easier to swallow why they are reducing yet another means of acquiring loot (which is really the only reason to do ark falls in the first place.. ).

    I have two theories about the why: 1st is above in my other post (the arkfall jumpers) and/or 2) server strain maybe (especially trying to throw sieges and the monolith arkfalls in there as well)

    Yeah to me this means they are trying to make it so that more people are staying to do the whole arkfall event, and not just have like one or two people here and there trying to do the whole event. It would then make it so that they are trying to make the ark fall events laggy-er in my opinion than they already are. Not really, smart in my opinion, but hay, we won't know how bad that move will be until it happens.

    I just see it like this, apparently fewer people than they thought play the game still and they want the game to seem alive, so forcing more people to be at the ark fall events would help that illusion. I mean say if only 20 people did each of the three arkfalls now... After the patch, 10 of those 20 that would be at the third ark fall would be in one arkfall area and the others would be at another arkfall area. Thus, 30 people on the map instead of 20. Okays, so much for that justification...

    I have to agree, some things are best left unchanged, but some things are best tried before you write them off.

    Personally, I think its more of the "Ark Fall Jumpers" than anything else. However, it could be more to force more people to be at the arkfall events than just the few that already do them. I mean instead of barely 20+, we'd have like 30+ at the ark falls.
