    Question on Sniper Draw Distance

In the last TV episode what draw distance did those ERep Soldiers have?

    3km?

    What is the in-game draw?

    HAHA!

I actually thought about the game's draw distance when Nolan was talking about the e-rep snipers.

Just imagine how shadow wars and pvp would be if the game actually rendered properly. Hell, even pve would improve substantially. Fortunately the mobs don't have draw distance issues with their pin point accuracy.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

    I don't know ...
Seems to me he asked what's the range you can hit stuff.

Maybe they had 50 snipers in a line :P

It was 3 clicks. Which means 3 miles.
However there's a synergy that does give you an additional range.
I want to say it's the "Stalker" synergy.

But 3 miles is pretty damn far considering that an AR-15 can only shoot, what, a 1/4 mile??
Don't quote me on that...old age you know...

They're talking about the fact that in Defiance the models of players only appear on your screen within a couple hundred meters, for things like shadow wars its less than 100m which makes any kind of scope pointless.

The effective range of an M4A1 is about 1/3 mile for target accuracy.

    ??????

n military terms, a "klick" means a distance of 1000 meters (one kilometer, or .62 miles). So, if a Soldier radios, "We're 10 klicks south of your position," that means they are 10 kilometers away, or 6.2 miles away.

    that 1.86 miles
but still thats pretty far... dont know if anyone can see something that far.

The draw distance sucks so bad, and even worse is that dark matter can still shoot u while not even rendered. My sniper rifle fails next to their assault rifles when they aren't even rendered

Well maybe Draw Distance doesn't translate from Show to Game

In-Show....Can't wait to see an Ego user Invis into town sporting a Canker and Syphon Auto Fragger.
Nolan shots him with that "Hand Cannon" as he is covered in poo shoes and then watches an army of leaping bugs rip his face off.
Meanwhile Ego user rolls away 3 seconds later shields and health at full.
