Loot. If you can get Loot from PvP kills I think more people would probably play. They drop rates should be a bit higher since you're not just killing some dumb AI and since kills are harder to get. Purples should drop about as much as blues do in PvE and Oranges should have a non zero chance to drop. Winning team should get a tier 3 lockbox to give people more incentive to win.

I actually like this idea, nice loot for a kill and also include revives, captures, etc.. It probably shouldn't just be on the great, maybe go directly to the defiance store for pickup.

The big problems with PvP cannot be solved.

    Players.
    Glitches.

Some players play decently and for fun.
Some players play decently and to win.
Some players find glitches and don't use them.
Some players find glitches and do use them intentionally to win.
    Some players accidentally have glitches/bugs.
Some players point out the problem with glitches/bugs.
Some players point out others intentionally using them.
Some players are 5 years old (or act it).
Some players complain these things need to be fixed.
Some players just like the frack with anyone playing the game.
Some players think they're the amazing pro bestest player of all (their wins have nothing to do with any problem the game has-it's all skillz).
Some players insist anyone who notices bugs/cheats/glitches are whiners.
Some games don't get fixed completely because of players insisting people are whining when reporting overpowered things/bugs/cheats/glitches that almost everyone knows exist.
Some do get fixed but far less than need to be fixed.
Some players get fed up and search youtube to find out how to use the glitches or they learn how to camp (cloak camping is now popular) or do whatever they can do because they hate all the times they've had people do this to them.
Some players give up with the whole thing so the game is left with those who think they're pros (some may be but a lot of good players move on to other games), those who glitch, campers, 5 year olds, and sometimes new people enter not knowing what is going on. And they give up on the whole game sometimes altogether.

PvP in any game ultimately becomes only a place for 5 year olds and glitchers. I've seen this in every CoD game I have ever played and since many of the problems in CoD games carry over into the next CoD game, people start to do this very early on. Out of map (or hiding inside objects in the game)-they find ways of passing through objects like walls as well, combo weapons (think machine gun shotguns or rocket launching shotguns), invincibility or God mode, the manipulation of the whole map, elevators and more. Almost every game I have played that had PvP had these things happening. Even the game Dark Souls had similar things. People found elevators that could take them partly out of the map so they could snipe at people in the map. And people always find out how to at least use glitches that have not been fixed by devs.

Im not saying that all PvP is bad... but this game's PvP is terrible. Skill or No Skill..it doesn't change the fact that no one wants to play it. If you are going to force someone play PvP to finish a Pursuit thats was mainly PvE, at least make it something that will be fun or motivating enough to do it.

Any reward system will increase the number of people looking to exploit the system also, and will Trion's notoriously soft hand when dealing with them will deter more non-cheating people from PvP then attract.

Sure, but you missed the parts where I said there were good PvPers that move on, hence my use of the word ultimately. Ultimately in this instance indicates that towards the short life of any game such as a CoD game, PvP devolves into an area that only 5 year olds and glitchers play. And there has yet to be a CoD game that has not reached that level. I'm not a great player but I have played the heck out of some PvP in all CoD games (but quickly gave up Black Ops 2 because it's the same every time). At some point good players stop playing. At some point in every CoD game I did-I moved on to another game.

The point is your generalization is extremely rude and inaccurate. I listed a wide variety of player types and even said that many players that played PvP did have real ability-it's just that often those that deny that people do cheat or use exploits or that bugs exist and weapons are overpowered can be some who insist they have real skillz. I actually find those who tend to brag about things can often be found to be using exploits intentionally. And they do want to protect their favorite way of winning. But I didn't say there are no truly good or decent players that play PvP. So my generalization was not a generalization at all.

But I've also gone back to see what's happening in every CoD game I've played, and it's amazing just what new glitches players have found by then. As I said shotguns that launch targeted missiles. People advertise their website, they create lobbies where everyone is flying in the air, care packages that cannot be picked up, and so on and on and on. They quickly figure out how to do this on all platforms, sometimes more quickly on the xbox or pc, but I've also seen this on the PS3. Please read my whole post. Once decent players leave out of boredom or whatever, ultimately all that is left are people you don't want to play it with.

And this isn't just specific to CoD either-I've seen it happen as I said in every game I've played that had PvP. If someone says it's not true they're either not paying attention, are just being argumentative, or they're lying.

One example of things people do is the PvP for Dark Souls. I played on the PS3. People that played on the xbox were manipulating their save games to create invincibility and other things almost from the release of the game. They also found elevators far faster and were using them and posting videos of these things on youtube soon after the game was released. It is a constant thing that is happening in PvP games on all platforms and denying it means that devs may never be compelled to truly try and fix such things. They could even limit the ability of people to use lag switches and modded controllers if enough players really complained. Imagine people not buying CoD games until they close a lot of the loopholes-won't happen but they could do it and would do it if people did this.

The problem is that all PvP and all games have bugs that can unintentionally or intentionally be used to skew the game. And PvP is always a crap shoot as far as who you will play with and against. I know this because I've even been grouped with friends to play and ended up in different matches in this game, and in some other games there are times when it's all but impossible to play with specific people. So unless youi have something set up like they did in Killzone2 where you could create your own group and create the rules for your match (such as no RPGs in smaller maps or whatever), most PvP is a pick up game.

They also are on open world servers which have a lot of issues so there's no true way to determine who is the best of the best ever.

I can't even finish the pursuits, as nobody is willing to let me kill them enough times in various places on a map(defend, attack, revenge, etc.) to accomplish the pursuit in the first place.

And...I've yet to come across an "invincible" player or someone wallhacking or the like.

Also...I vote no to rewards. You think people are exploiting NOW?? Pfff, this is nothing compared to what it would be like if there were actual GEAR rewards or anything other than what's here now.
