shooters in general, MAG was one that did go to 128, and while it was ..ok in some regards.. much of it went wrong as well, def. a hit and miss.

I would enjoy a massive bf game, and more so one that actually uses teamwork.. like we do on pc..... but atm the console rooms have too many "heros" we like to call them in the military.. all thinking they can just run wild and win the day on their own, end up dying a lot and getting their team in a worse position for it. seems team work and objective oriented pvp is lost on this generation of gamers....

I know exactly what you're talking about. And a lot of people try to make it KD oriented. I remember I joined one server and the Admin kicked me because I planted the bomb. I would get it for PC, but I want to play with my friends, and they usually only get shooters for consoles.

I really do miss 1942.. the recent bf games have started to get back to good vehicle mechanics, but 42' was still the smothest in al control, I miss the fantastic mods for it also.. Dc mod was a must.. some french people made a really neat Stargate mod.. and of course a good SW mod. Games like those are what we need again. games that can be modded by the public for content creation, (ps3 actually had a few titles that would accept pc mods.. a few)...some games have made a game in itself of user created content, but usually there are massive limitations to it, and usually within the confine of the game using the game tools, which puts a damper on creativity and innovation.

Oh Battlefield 1942 was an amazing game! That Stargate mod was awesome. Even Battlefield 2 was a pretty damn good game. I stopped playing the BF games when 2142 came out and they installed spyware on my computer. Haven't touched a BF game ever since.

i would have to say 2142> bf 2.. purely on vehicle mechanics. bf2 made it very lethargic, and far to arcade like.

GTA-V, Watch Dog's and The Crew are the ones that instantly jump to mind. If I had a Wii U then 'X' would be whetting my appetite, looks like it could be a really good game

Good times on 1942/DC! The picture on the left of my sig was our Ejector Camel in Desret Combat, climb on and when you get off, POOF! blasted 200 foot in the air, there were some quality fun mods our clan guys made. I miss our old server and pc gaming in general now Im stuck on a console :s

Amsuing coincidence with the topic title in a BF vid I made back in 2008. For the Original BF players here some reminiscing material! I'll stop spamming now

and a quality one from another server and clan we were all good friends with that shows a lot of the modding capability we had back then (well not me personally but talented people!)

I guess I should point out my games huh. As far as the big names, Im interested in ALL the games shown, I want to try them all and see what new inovation is coming from these games, because Sony and Microsoft aren't doing so much right now as far as that goes. But the really big names that have me interested. Destiny, The Division, and that Oddworld indie game. The Crew seems like an awesome idea and all of the big games are really embracing MMO qualities. For this gen though, The Last of Us was the best Single Player experience I have ever had, and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is on my radar next. I can't forget about Payday 2 though!
