Well that is a little different. Backwards compatibility means taking an old physical disk from a previous system, and playing it on the new system.
Like popping a PS2 disk into a PS3 and playing it off that.

Atleast there is a chance for more options or games you had wanted to check out from the cloud but yeah now that I thought it was either.

both consoles stated for better next gen gaming they had to change the architecture, which in turn wont allow other discs to play in the new system.... but im sure if they wanted they could make a emulator for their own systems if they wanted just like i still play my sega saturn discs with a emulator in my pc.....

Scary part is when the kinect biofeedback will probably be sold to advertising agencies that will then use the info of which part of a game or show u were bored for to send u targeted ads.

Monitoring my website pattern and my youtube patterns is one thing, a device spying on me and sending info back to microsoft every timw i frown in a movie is another.

I had no intention of getting a console of any sorts and this is drawing way too many lines xD get out of my living room. This isn't even tin foil hat, this is pretty likely lol.

The thing that gets me is that they said "due to consumer reaction." I don't believe that. I believe it is because they know they got slammed by ps4. The controversy about the used games and selling your old games has been going on for months. Sounds like Xbox just didn't care and was expecting Sony to be the same way. Trying to say that consumer reaction led to the decision was a cop out. That reaction has been going around the web for a while. Either micro$oft doesn't really listen to the market or they just try to do whatever until someone like Sony stomps all over them. I may be pro ps4, but a lot of my Xbox 360 friends have already went out and preordered the ps4. The damage is done and being reactive is not as good as being proactive.

um.. people pre-ordering PS4 instead of Xbone IS part of the reaction.

All I have to say if a patch can take it out, then when Microsoft gets what it wants (your money) a patch can put it back in.

After all Microsoft did say terms can change at Microsoft's discretion.
