Griefing vs not knowing

A lot of people doing this are doing it because they are trying to get their 2500 kills. Its easier to do at red crystal arkfalls because you have a nearly endless stream of mobs. Now, that said.. I think its an ****** thing to do because you are screwing with other peoples game for your own personal gain, but there is no rule or mechanic against it.. so its not cheating or considered griefing either... just ******baggery.

The argument that there is no other way to get your arkfall kills which I have actually heard before is invalid though.. will you get them AS FAST? No. Will you get them. Yep cause I've gotten my 2500 and I never did this. I in fact use a Wolfhound at crystal kills and rarely touch mobs at all.

Jailing them is against the writ of Habeas Corpus. It's not against the law, so they're not giving you a warrant. They're not arresting those noobs either because it's not against any law to troll around.

Its not a question of laws. There is not and never has been nor ever will be a law against griefing people in video games, and habeas corpus wouldn't strictly apply even if it was. There are rules however, of which I believe in the TOS griefing is outlined under harassment, but.. as much as its annoying to spam AOE and BGMs at an arkfall, its not a violation of the rules or misconduct, and unless the player doing it is stating his intention is to make the arkfall fail to screw over everyone present, its not a violation of the TOS.

If you dont like the way people are playing then shoot something and leave you will still get the same xp and keys and they get their kills.

No, I'm happy with silly ppl shooting at skitterlings, they should continue to do this, when I see them I just run to another crystal.
As they don't understood that it's quicker to not kill skitterling (before they hit the crystal), I have the time to destroy 2 or 3 crystal before they only destroy one.

Just do this, let them in their own world.

I got my 2500 without killing skitterlings and ruining the arkfall for others. It didn't take long at all. All you have to do is tag all of the big bugs that spawn in reds, kill everything at blues, and kill/tag everything during the final Major Arkfall. Don't even worry about the Hellion. Voila, you will have it in no time.

Players claiming that they play however they want as long as it doesn't break ToS, are the same people who afk in pvp matches, ignore the objectives in CTF/C&H, ninja-loot in other games, etc. Some people simply never learned how to play well with others.

Thanks for mentioning that.. cause I think its something people don't realize. In order to get a "kill" you don't have to be the one who actually kills the mob, just have done damage to it. And before someone says "This is wrong".. I tested it as recently as this morning. Hitting a mob is all that is required to get count on it for number of kills sake.

Even without players killing Skitterlings, the destroy the crystal Arkfall is as boring as **** anyway.
If fools are blowing things up I just kill a few things and move on.
If it finishes great, if it doesn't there will be another one anyway.
Don't worry, a few thousand XP here or there doesn't matter and it's not exactly as if the Arkfall is going to be the one where you get some magic Orange reward, it's just going to be the same junk you will get in the next one.
