    - ONLINE: obvious

It's a MMO. Just not a MMORPG, but a MMOTPS

The UI is simply different from the classic wow-clone MMORPG. Try to learn to use it. Quick menu is great to do every interaction with players/queue system, there are shortcuts and you can custsomize them for jsut every part of the UI, and even using the basic ESC - keep space pressed is good as soon as you want to adapt to it. If you just want the standard wow-clone interface and not try to adapt, it's your fault. Different game, different ways to "use" it.

you have a point about the UI, but our beta test was 2months old. So they may well have fixed some of these problems. I play on an xbox controller via pc so my point of view may be a tad biased.

I think people are forgetting, WoW wasn't built in a day, and if Trion has shown anything with Rift, it's that they understand how to keep a game evolving. Sure, I'd like to fight some mutated wolves or bats or something, but at the same time, we should keep in mind that this is the beginning of the game. It's not like Halo 4 or CoD, where what you get at the beginning is all you will get, the game is capable of evolving, of becoming better.

I'm already amazed at the weapon quality, the backdrops to my battles, and the concept of the world. I love the co-op maps that are out, and for once find pvp enjoyable. Perhaps Defiance doesn't really compare to WoW or other MMOs out there just yet, in my opinion, it's already great, and the only way is up.

Hope to see you all soon!
I'm excited for the game too - but at the same time think a lot of the people posting "pointless negatism" are actually posting very valid and understandable concerns about some things.

So far I like the game, the only things I dont like is that my character does not talk, he is mute??? Aiming a little bit tricky when no using Sniper rifle and the driving is very strange for me, but heck I am an old man, I have trouble driving my own RL car LOL
Haha, I feel the same way about driving. Other than that, I think this visit to the forum has convinced me to upgrade to the deluxe version.

People are not being negative, they are just giving feedback and their honest opinion. I think what alot of players found frustrating was that the game seemed to be optimized for consoles rather than PC in alot of senses. The next issue is ofc that alot of essential MMO components are missing, or just not working properly. Further on, i believe quite a few of the players just tried to say that Trion does not have to reinvent the wheel everytime. Alot of the components missing or simply not working ingame can already be seen in Rift or in other MMOs on market.

Again, this is no pointless negatism, but honest questions and feedback. And i am quite letdown by the fact that the game seems optimzed for consoles, and seems to be better at the shooting part than the MMO and RPG part.
