    what a useless gun.

    It looks great, it sounds amazing - fits in with my character well (using VBI/human weapons) but the thing is useless.

    Even with maxed out overcharge I'm getting crits below 800 with single shot action.
    It could be a good gun - I see someone is selling one with a 3 burst magazine - hmmm that could work. But as a single shot rifle - it's useless - easily the most useless gun I have found in game.

    So I was wondering, what are the other weapons so poor that they just become pointless?
    If you actually bother understanding what weapons do what with which mods in which situations, almost every weapon in the game has some purpose. the FRC Heavy Assault Rifle is an excellent long-range damage dealer especially with a good scope, the right perks, and the know how to use it. It's been my long range go-to weapon for some time now and I don't regret it one bit. It's fantastic for Scrapper arkfalls and with a fall-off +8 mod, you can use it from way further away than you'd ever imagined. If you have issues pulling the trigger quickly, yeah it probably is more annoying than anything else, but I love 'em. Personally, I think one of these in the right hands has way more potential than a sniper rifle, but whatever. People get way too hung up on DPS, but there's more to the gameplay than just DPS. The overall funtionality of a weapon in different situations can change so drastically that often times the DPS is almost irrelevant compared to other things.

    The FRC shotgun. Only does 47 dmg a pellet

    Magnum shoots slow as hell. Worthless...

    But even these two....as crappy as they are don't compare to the crap known as....

    Mind telling me the purpose of the regular rocket launcher, above all the others?

    Also amen to the DPS part. I for one go with distraction tactics. Flashbangs, Decoys and Lightning element. Way I figure it, if the enemy is immobilized you spend less time chasing it or running away and more time just gunning into it.

    i guess each to their own. for me its not only the best gun in the game its the ONLY gun in the game. every other gun SUCKS rapid fire accurate sniper and extremely deadly at that who can ask for anything more

    edit: once i get all gun levels to 20 this will be the only gun i ever use again

    Left Click: Brag
    Right Click: Taunt

    Don't use it in-game, i don't recommend it.

    I've kept and fully modded some Disruptors just out of sheer stubborn pig-headedness. It looks so awesome, even more so modded out. It's arguably just about as effective to hold it by the wrong end and beat them with it, or throw it at them, as it is to fire it. I only use it against something that I want to insult.

    So I tried this. I have actually tried it twice. The gun spits out death, that's for sure, and it looks pretty good, but it has one failing, a 20 round magazine. I've seen one with a 30 round mag, and that might be okay, but basically a burst modded FRC Heavy Assault Rifle is very much a burst dps weapon. It's not fast to reload and you can't extend the mag because you used that to make it a burst weapon.

    So, sadly, while I do like the idea, I found that it's very much a situational weapon. Plus, frankly, if it takes a clip to kill something with a full-auto rifle, it'll take a clip to do it with the FRC. You're not gaining much.

    (Now I just need a bigger ammo cache for pistols and an orange Wolverine. *sigh*)

    I like to experiment with weapons people deem crappy to find the best of them. I found out it is all in the application of the weapon (way you use it, perks equipped, mods, etc.). The heavy assault carbine, when modded correctly (read: burst mod) is insane and in high demand on my server. Northstar flares with extended mag, incredible range and it sets stuff on fire! Meteor Bolter: it has a knockback effect allowing you to get off another crit shot without the target being able to respond. I have 2 RLs, one is meh, the armada is a beast (sniper detonator with no curve to the ammo!)

    My current project is the disruptor. Still playing around with it. You cannot use this like you would a different LMG. It has incredible accuracy, even over a long range. Each bullet hits twice (so a 3 round burst hits 6 times).Fastest LMG reload and good size mag. I swear the auto aim is probably the best in the game. Downside is lower dmg (but each bullet still counts as 2 hits), horrible crit multiplier (even a crit barrel cant bring it up that far), and you can't put a burst mod on it.

    My least favorite 3:
    VOT Blast rifle - that 40 damage is just way too weak. I've yet to find a good situation for it.
    Any non-linking BMG - makes it ok for a self heal option, but not much else. The Tele-spanner is good for leveling the skill on hulkers
    FRC Magnum - I can reload a Heavy Sawed Off (1919 damage) faster than this fires. If it had knockdown or secondary stun effects, it would be useful against things like Goldrushers.

    Some situations for guns other people mentioned as useless:
    Rockers can be used at distance to great effect. If the mob of enemies get close and you have to move, then it's useless.
    Bezerker Shotguns work very well against Archers and Crystals. The high rate of fire lets you put a great deal of dps into them at close range. I've also used them to take down 99er and DM shields, fast. I'd still reccomend them for Arkfall use more than mission use.

    I myself personally love LMG especially the disruptor.
