Better is an opinion.. I feel the same as OP but I also have had my fair share of gaming addictions that were sub par to other titles but just had an appeal that kept me there... Not everything is measured in graphics and gameplay it seems.

also sifi has control over the game unless the show takes a big giant crap then it goes back to trion
Don't put yourself down, a lot of people bought into the hype of the gearbox false advertisement scam. A company that made Borderlands 1 and 2? How can they miss with the Aliens franchise with Fox approving the script??? This single handedly made me not want to pre-order any games ever again.

trion really dropped the ball this time I heard from some of my pc friends that rift was really good so they say but this not so much
I know how you feel there that's why I always look into the games im buying now I back trion for ever saying give them time they will get it down but they proved me wrong there you can polish a terd only so much in the end it will be a shiny terd but a terd none the less
Let us be fair on this though.. this wasn't their game.. I am sure if they made it from the ground up it might of done better.. but due to time constraints and wanting to at least make some type of money they opted to use all code made up to the point they took over.. I won't buy into games that were not fully made by a developer... that is why I am dissapoint in star wars 1313 or w/e its called.
you have a point
Well there is still a lot of controversy over who made what in that game. Gearbox kept toting it has a Gearbox developed game, but after the crap hit the fan with inside information on what happened it was no wonder the game turned out the way it did, same as the fate of Duke Nukem. It was sad to see some interviews Randy did where he would talk about being a fan of the franchise and how they well treat the game right.

all im saying is when bungie makes a game they make a good game
Bungie takes time to make their games, they listen to their fans, and have a great open communication relationship with us. Some will argue that Halo 1 was the best for competitive play, others say Halo 2. I fully agree that Bungie makes great games, not just for one crowd either, they learned what makes a great solo/co-op campaign game as well as a great competitive pvp game.
We saw halo 1 start it all with its imaginative world and gun play mechanics. Halo 2 with the online MM system, Halo 3 with the theater mode, forge, and HD graphics with a robust stats page for the players. ODST pioneered the FireFight system which was redesigned into the halo Reach game for even more options and better game play.
With the new IP of Destiny, a stronger, faster system to play on. I am willing to trust in Bungie the fate of my money in their brand new universe. The possibilities are boundless. The technology and resources and the huge team they have now, with the willingness and helpfulness of a large community like B.net, Bungie will go far in the next 10 years with this product. That I have no doubt.
