Careful, you might loose this fight, Anne Frankly why does everybody have to bring up the Nazis?

That's the thing-- they have the right philosophy, but they implemented it so poorly players can't see it. So they ask for other genres to get copy/pasted over.

This kid just wants the satisfaction of saying I told you so, if the game fails this kid will be all over the place, "I told you that pos defiance was gonna fail, I am a video game prophet! All bow before my greatness!" but if it succeeds, which it probably will, no one will ever see him post on here again, and he'll probably move on to another new games forum to repeat the process. People actually do these things, what is wrong with the world?

I am confused? Are you trying to use CoH as a negative example? Yes, it was shut down while still popular, after eight years on the market. A lot of MMos wish they had that kind of success. Hell DCUO went F2P after a year of life because it was failing critically. Fortunately for them it was the right move and the game was saved, cause it is fun to play but honestly I don't even think DCUO had much to do with CoHs demise. The game was just old, and before DCUO ever hit the market it was losing people to Champions which was arguably just the same game as CoH but already free.
This is just the typical MMO community. There's going to be people who likes and dislikes the game. I can say similar negative things about this game that I said about other MMOs. How I quit DCUO because of lack of PvP focus content and constant disconnects. How I quit SWToR because saber/melee classes dominate everyone else and their flawed rated system. How I quit GW2 because of the Mystic Forge RNG system in getting a precursor. This game is a bit lackluster when it comes to contents, but I am still enjoying it because I've steered away from the mindset of things being a "grind". My point is, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Everyone takes a crap, and none of it don't stink. This paradigm will continue onward to future games that players are currently hyped for like Destiny and The Division, even though they are not considered a MMO, and then continue to other future games after. I already know some people here who are psyched to play Destiny, but will be very very disappointed because TPS=/=FPS.
Honestly I don't think this game will be dead anytime soon.
It can only improve, really. Most people I talk with who have actually played this game praise it for its fun level but it does have quite a bit of flaws, namely that there's nothing really keeping people around beyond episodic content. Massively summed my thoughts up on it pretty nicely about a month ago. The Castithan DLC will add some new permanent content into the game, and I imagine once the show is done they'll be able to focus more on getting further content out that isn't just episodic stuff between episodes.
Plus the Defiance team has been listening to player feedback, and it sounds like they've got a lot of cool things planned for the future, including arkfalls more akin to what we've seen in the show. Plus a revamp of the social UI and whatnot.
So I'm hopeful for the game. I think it'll end up performing how RIFT did, where it had some initial woes but was able to recover and grow stronger continuously. 'cause I wouldn't be an 18-month subscriber to RIFT if it didn't improve majorly after giving it some time to establish more of an identity for itself and get its act together.
Rofl.. These fanboys up here are delusional as hell. We been hearing "potential" and "wait until this, this, this and that" since the freaking beta. Yet, when "this, this, this and that" finally happen, the end result is disappointment and more delusional expectations. It's truly mindboggling.
If posting our appreciation and like for a game on that game's official website and having hope or seeing potential or just enjoying it how it is makes us a fanboy, then what does that make people who seem to do nothing but hover on a game's site for days, weeks, even months, constantly spouting their utter disdain for the product yet not realizing the only people they are "convincing" with their point-of-view is in fact others who already are doing the same thing as they are? We may be delusional, but at least we have the common sense to know "I don't like a product =/= hounding everyone who does".
This. I know when I dislike something, I tend to stop doing it and talking about it... Example, I dislike carrots. I do not verbally assault people who enjoy carrots, nor do I spend time on the carrots forum trying to prove to myself that my dislike is warranted by gaining approval from my fellow carrot haters.

Ohh noes! Me so sad that the fair weather players will be leaving for over hyped Destiny.
GOOD! Get lost.
Maybe you scrubs will leave the forums to.
