DCUO had considerable issues and troubles after it started and saw plenty of player decline. It crawled back from that but personally I dont like the "game starts at 30" design set up of it and play it only sparingly once in a while(LTS unfortunately/fortunately so I can have the luxury to do so).

Vehicles are one of the things that make this game fun. Removing them or delaying them until later would be like nerfing.

The way to increase the world is to add more content to the existing and dark parts of the map.

The solution is filling the game world we already have. All of the "dynamic" content is actually pretty organized and static. Arkfalls are defined, never really random. Emergencies never change. The game world is pretty non-interactive at this point. The most fun I've had is trying to get to the highest hill I can reach, only to be frustrated by an invisible wall that isn't even on the map, in a place that doesn't really make sense. Where's the danger? Doing things shouldn't just be about getting rewards. Give us an actual reason. I mean think about it, hostages can't die, Echelon mercs can't die, etc. It's just more mindless shooting. The games lack of truly creative activities came from it being a console game too, they really think that they majority of us are "scared" of MMOs and are inept at anything beyond shooting and looting. Try to find some of the dev videos and interviews, and they'll talk about "catering" to console players and trying to make it feel like a console game. This is coming from a PS3 only gamer, and I hate it. Where's Defiance's take on Raids? Just don't go to crazy with the whole gear thing. Where are the areas you shouldn't go if you aren't experienced enough? There's honestly no dangerous territory. They were afraid to actually challenge console players, therefore holding the potential of the game back.

I think I'd like to see places where teamwork is basically required to survive, and I'm not talking about arkfalls either because even those are capable of being soloed. Sieges are a good example of what I'm looking for, but they need to somehow take it a step further by maybe adding a way to fail them and some type of consequence for failing such as no experience or something. In this game, there is really no punishment for failure, which makes it to easy. They already have some decently difficult solo tasks such as some of the hotshots with my personal favorite being Hotshot: Moonshine Shack (I honestly played that hotshot countless times after getting gold on it).

I know you're not being serious as I actually read the smallprint.

But to anyone who genuinely thinks this is a good idea: play Dragon's Dogma without Dark Arisen and then get back to me.

The world is friggin huge, I would definitely say its to scale, or at least very close. What we need is more to DO, goals to strive for, long term objectives to accomplish. I was thinking, the map is divided by regions, faction seiges in a key point of each region of the map, let's say bi weekly. Dependent on the outcome of the battle the region could be more peaceful, less emergencies/ random hostile attacks etc. OR if say the battle is lost it becomes more hecktic, higher concentration of the mobs of the winning faction/ harder ark falls in that area etc. but every time the players win the seiges will become increasingly difficult. Sorry if I went crazy there just thought it would be cool, got carried away.

People would think about using their vehicle as a weapon of they had to run to a fast travel point in order to get another one.
This idea I love. Every time I spawn a car in the middle of nowhere I actually want my Avitar to say "When the **** did I park there?!"

As for the idea of walking everywhere with no mounts, did that in Guild Wars 2 and they made it work (I was dirt poor most of the time in that game so I rarely used waypoints).

Don't worry about that. More nerfs will take care of the quick progression. I can guarantee you that. Continued threads like this will give them an excuse for such action. It sure as **** won't result in more and better content.
