I'm with Obi-slice on this one. PvP servers add another dimension to the game for me. Yes, there is a chance that you're going to get attacked. However, for me (and it's certainly understandable that it's not the case for everyone), that makes the game -more- fun. It's requires additional situational awareness. I've been playing on PvP servers for so long, it's downright instinctual for me to pan the camera around every so often to make sure I'm not about to get attacked, etc.
I've also seen ridiculously fun, spontaneous world PvP situations form out of stuff like...one person "stealing" another's quest mob, etc. As said earlier, it just adds another, really fun dimension to it. And if we manage to form a well-organized guild, I promise you that we'll win much, much more than lose. Just being organized and having viable tactics wins most PUG/open world PvP situations.
The question, then, might be: "how do you stop yourself from getting really frustrated when you get ganked?" By accepting it. By going into the situation knowing that you're on an open battlefield, and you will get attacked, and sometimes you'll even die. There's nothing infuriating/frustrating about the situation unless you choose to perceive it that way. -You- make it frustrating with the thoughts you choose after it happens.
Just my two cents. Obviously this will be a collective decision.![]()
