Quick xbox question

I was just wondering is there a difference between the fat xbox and slim other then cosmetic? does the slim have a faster cpu or more ram? and if so how much of a difference?

I ask because i am wondering if it is time to hang up my xbox until the 720 comes out and just switch my preorder to pc?

Also have they even said anything about the 720? all i have heard is speculation and rumors.

There is no difference in the CPU speed or RAM on any of the Xbox 360 models. The main differences are a smaller chip size that reduces the operating temperature, more efficient cooling, more USB ports and inclusion of WiFi.

Yeah, due to integrated WiFi, there is no need for a wireless adapter.

It's rumoured the 720 will be announced at E3 this year, and released late 2013 or early 2014.

Personally, I'm trying to keep my original Xbox 360 Elite that I've had for 4-5 years alive long enough to last until the 720 comes out.

Same here, i will just play pc games for the rest of this year if i have to! rather then spend 300 bucks on a system that is going to be obsolete in 9 months.

That makes no sense, the next xbox IS an improvement, the last versions that were released were software and fan upgrades along with other bells and whistles, and if you stick with that logic and follow me on this, the next xbox that IS an improvement why wouldn't you get it? It's NOT a new version of the last consoles it's an entirely new system, so how would it be obsolete in 9 months?
