I can answer these question for you

We have no idea what we are doing.
We have no era as to these problems being fixed.
We don't know when the dlc will drop the release has been postponed multiple times for multiple reasons.
We have no idea how to do any of this we are making it up as we go along.
We know what you want we know what you ask for....oh look shiney object. Have ya heard about our dlc we have shuney new weapons, a reskin ....um I mean new race and the volge and sieges are coming back....but dont expect any of this to actually work right even though we are delaying for extended testing and bug fixes..... The servers will crash, stuff will be broken but hey give us 10$ cause we are so broke right now. Sledgehammer is up to selling blood......

As for the next Gen question....i highly doubt it. With everything that is planed for release on the next gen consoles. Trion knows when they are outclassed and I highly doubt will ever release another console game again.

One answer for all your questions....because they themselves have already given up on the game. It is the only answer that makes sense. If they cared, they would be promoting and addressing issues daily. Instead they have clammed up and are slowly bleeding accounts. This is the only conclusion I come to, and also the reason why I will not spend a dime in thier cash shop. Their silence alone is killing this game.

Your point on a test server: pointless. Why? Because many of the same issues encounted in -Alpha- bugs wise that we reported then, multiple times, still continue to plague the game(one perfect example is the arkfall bugs).

To be honest with the 60 day mark for the layoff notice folks coming, the fact that many of the issues from before launch and now still exist, and the artful dodging of firm, transparent answers with specific time tables to resolve the issues and the DLC, folks like yourself need to move out of evaluating/judging them by what they "say" they'll do and simply judge them on what they do/have done. Once you step into that frame of thinking it should give you a better perspective on the futility of asking the bulk of your questions on such things.

I dont like it anymore than you do but there is very little that can be done by us to effectively change the situation.

And there is so many flops on the market because companies keep exspecting us to.

The day we as gamers stop trying to make sure the games we invest our time money and espectations are met. Is the very day we should stop gaming all together. Because from that day forth we will only get half finished half hearted attempts at the things we love.

For better or worse its just like the mass effect3 debacle. They released what many seen as a subpar ending to one of the greatest trilogies in gaming . And enough gamers said you know what that isn't going to cut it. And they got results again for better or worse.


This game is no different forget all the crying threads and all the praise threads. Like it or hate it we have all invested some form of money and emotion into it. And that is reason enough to try and make it what it should be . If it dies because of next gen or because of just running its life span for most players so be it.

But for the love of gamers we shouldn't let a game die because we except below level developer results. Sure it happens and this is not the first nor last game that could happen to.

But that dosn't mean we shouldn't try to prevent it.

Agreed. I think many, if not all, of the questions asked are specific enough to articulate what we want to know. If people keep up with the "because we don't care" rhetoric we won't ever get an answer.

Ok first let me say upfront this isn't a qq thread and it isn't a flame trion thread. It is however asking for some solid information.

1. According to your lead developer at e3 the dlc is scheduled for late july. If that is the case why is there nothing promoting that.

2. If it is slated for late july. Why is it that nowhere since e.3 has any developer confirmed this and always side steps the dateline by just saying the summer.

3 Arkfalls have been bugged for quite sometime. So why is it there has been no information given as to the possible causes? You say we are watching them closely. But do you realize so are the players and a lot of critics and review spots. So why is it not in your best interest to atleast offer a reasoning to the continuation of the bug?

4. If boosts are bugged and causing people to loose the benefits of them before their allotted time is up. Why then are you still selling them everyday to those who may not know this? Or at the very least a launcher message letting people know they are still bugged and may not work properly?


5. While pvp as you have said is a secondary content to the game but enjoyed by a large number of the players. Why is the pvp outfits still bugged out without any type of information on the cause or the estimated fix time?


6. With the continued confusion of players when show tie ins and show motivated content will be added. Why is there no official sticky relating what the scheduleing of that content to be added? ( and no not asking for spoilers on what that content is. Simply when and with how much consistency it will be added.

7. With new generation of consoles rapidly approaching. Will defiance be available on any of the new generation consoles? And if so will the players characters and accomplishments be able to be ported over?

8. With the map that players are open to atm starting to get crowded with emergencies, Arkfalls and other content. Will there be a map land mass exspanding with any of the first 3 dlc's?

9. With so many players outspoken about lack of content and trions own admittance to the fact that they do not consider pursuits as sustainable content. Will the upcoming dlc offer new content other than new weapons, Race, And sieges? (Such as continuation of storyline or a story arch new questline?)


10. With the recent patches being released with extra bugs and quirks that wasn't caught during the testing phases. Are there any plans for the near future to allow a public test server.


Again I tried my best to word these questions in a way that showed what a lot of players have stated as concerns. Without trying to be rude or distastefull towards the trion staff.

Until Trion can get their Defience customers/players/haters to trust them, a next gen release would be unbelievably wrong! There are mile of difference between Mass Effect and Defiance and more importantly between Bioware and Trion.

Bioware cares about their fans and franchise. Trion has proven time and time again that they dont.
From the fake staged AtB, lack of support, bug fixes, lack of content updates, lack of TV tie in missions.
Trion is a studio of under achievers that try to skate by doing the bare minimum. You want proof....what gaming company releases a mmo on console right before next gen launches? One who doesnt expect it to stick around for that long.
This game reminds me of a Korean grind mmo. No real point, no real fun once the novelty of arkfalls wears off.

Does it suck that this is a feeling alot of fans have that gave this game a shot because it sounded like fun? Yep.
Does Trion deserve the bad press and hate of the fan base. You bet they do.
If they actually did something to prove otherwise then it wouldn't have went this way. Sadly until Trion steps up to the plate and swings for the fences then this will continue. Trion put itself in a hole and it has alot of work to do to show the fans they want and desire to change the current state of the game.

So far that haven't shown us anything that proves they give a damn. Ignore your pleas, ignore your wishes, ignore your questions and the ones they do answer are done so vague they might as well not even bothered. They constantly half *** ****.

I think question 10 will be enough to keep you from actually getting a response. It's basically worded as, "Since you are incompetent at doing your job when will you let us test for you?". The overall tone of most of the questions come off as kind of accusatory.

The company treating the game like it's Hellgate: London doesn't elicit respect. We get none they deserve none. Stop being a fanboi and face facts. This is a throw away game meant for pure profit not accountability.
