    1. I'm not sure about the quality of responses you're receiving about content because Trion purposely withheld content (most of the game) in the beta weekends so i don't believe you're getting an accurate response there. The game in my opinion to compare it to a recent MMO content length-wise is relatively similar to Guild Wars 2 however with more replay ability and fast paced PvP.

    2. Smooth sailing for me, i understand there were some hiccups with the servers including some downtime and issues with certain setups but generally the game runs fine and i experience no lag during the time i played.

    3. Yes, however they're mostly cosmetic or booster (bonus to gaining EXP/in-game currency) while there is one called Lockboxes which when you open them you get a random chance to generate normal to rare items. These can be purchased with the in game currency with some work though.

    4. No, there are no monthly fees. It is buy to play meaning that once you buy the initial game you can play whenever and however you want. Although the console version for Xbox 360 requires xbox live gold to play which isn't related to Trion.

    5. When i first logged in at the immediate launch of the beta weekend (friday morning i believe it was like 9am) there were easily hundreds, easily a thousand if not thousands of people shuffling around in the starter zone with me. I believe most of these people progressed further into the game so some people joining later didn't see how many people there actually were. So yes there is a playerbase and a significant one. Also remember that the show will bring in more players and so will review after launch.

Thanks for the great reply Senel. I pretty much picked up on the content being withheld, they did the same for Rift, most of us didn't even know how big the world was until final beta. Though I do wish the player base for MMOs I play to be in the millions, this isn't a deal breaker for me, as if I get in a guild, there should be someone to on to play with, and even going solo is ok, if the content is there. I'm just taking stock on the game, and hope it can hold me for 30 days at a $60 price tag.

I'm going to look past Steam's low preorder due to the game not requiring it (I like Steam, I understand that there are many that don't), it came as a shocker initially because like I said earlier, even turd bombs have maxed out Steam preorder rewards in matter of weeks, and almost always weeks before the game launches (But in all fairness, I think all the games have required steam).

    You're most welcome!

Just to note Steam has low preorder sales due to being available for sale/pre-order much later (i believe Steam arrived an entire month late to the game) than the other retailers. From what i've seen personally, the playerbase will be a couple hundred thousand (my guess is 300k-500k) if not closer to a million users remember there are other versions so that does kinda divide the playerbase. I think the Steam + the show + reviews will bring in a lot more users, there is a large part of the MMO playerbase that is so wary these days since of failed releases being so common now they're giving it some time to see what it's like when it goes live before they jump in which is totally justifiable.

Personally i just heard about it being on Steam yesterday and i've been looking at this game since Feb. I'll be pulling my pre-order with gamestop hoping to get some of those extra rewards on steam. Looking forward to the game hope you enjoy it too!

Thanks guys, I have just gone ahead and preorder (when I returned to the store page Defiance hit reward 1!!!). Hope to see you all in game, and if anyone knows a mature guild, I'm looking for one.

Content: Based on the 500/5000 EGO rating attainable in beta its roughly 10% you can say. When based on my other experience in MMO's (example vanilla WoW) 10% would be the first 6 levels of 60 which accumulated to less than 5% of overall play. Have to keep in mind as you progress there will be more things to do do and it will become slower.

Further content is also provided via DLC which has confirmed content will be free, the price for them will give you access to specific weaponry/outfits/vehicles but will not affect the content. They have stated they do not want player segregation and I hope this remains constant throughout.

What I REALLY hope, is that they find reasons to being people back the "older" areas. Day 2 of beta, everyone was out in Madera. I'd really like to see all zones with active usage.
