So basically we can expect the patches to just get bigger and bigger and....?

Not all of them no. But the ones that pertain to the larger code strings then yes. And if they have ninja added some yet to be unlocked content the hellz yes.

Because even tho the content is already on the disk or what not, They have to go in and remove change the code that locks it out to players.

Wich means we have to redownload the client side changes . ( reinstall the game)

I'm among the few that has to re-download the whole shtako because the servers randomly shut down and caused a crash that refuses to get fixt, and honestly I'm not ever sure I WANT to try again.

Its over. No issues. 3 hours almost on the dot. Thank goodness.

When I download other stuff, 2gigs doesn't take nearly that much time. Usually it takes half or less. Long patches from other games take a lot less too. It's not my connection. Its Defiance. Or rather, Trion.

Still, 3hrs not bad considering.

20 minutes at 13Mbps. I dunno what file size that is, but it seems to be a pretty fast download.

I wonder if they use some type of peer to peer client [kinda like bit torrent or what WOW uses in it's updater] in their patch updater.
