How was your 1st Arkfall like?

my 1st arkfall event was in was breath taking actually. a group activity that everyone stops what they're doing just to complete a objective for the greater good of everyone else.

Was like my first rift heh.

I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed watching my hubby play it on the xbox. I had played Rift before and have a long history with mmos and mmorpgs.

This is the very first game he has played online other than halo.

I think he was shocked and awed by the whole thing.

It was almost corny to watch him..poor thing gotta love him heheh

I felt like a total badass on my first arkfall. I thought I was going to be the only one doing it and so I went to my first fallen crystal and took it down to less than half HP before other players showed up. It was a lot of fun, but I did a lot of running around to dodge the hellbug archers while shooting the weakspots.

Loved it, up until I ran out of ammo, at that point I didn't realize the guns ammo was linked )needs to be changed big time(

I do agree with this. I could be wrong but you can grab ammo as looot drops correct? It seemed as if I was getting ammo by killing mobs around the Arkfall?

I was all alone, when the game first started beta I rushed at level 30 to the first arkfall and couldnt kill it in the given time because noone else was ready, a waste of about 20 minutes :c

Sometimes, sometimes I got lots of ammo, other times there wasn't a single ammo drop. I have to resort to riding around in my vehicle just to kill things.

At first I was like, "Oh what's that red icon? Is there an event? I'mma check it out." And a few minutes later, "Oh ****, oh ****, here it comes!" xD

chaotic, but fun. It'll be better once people understand the events, like, let the little hellbugs gnaw holes in the crystal, or let the demo mutants drop their barrels at the base, then blow 'em up, to let things progress.

The big hellbug event I saw was pretty rough, lotta people running around, never seemed like there was enough DPS on the monarchs, and I never seemed to be in the right spot to nail their weak points at the right time. That, and running out of ammo often, depending on the weapon I was using. I love my SMG, but I can drain that thing in under a minute. Shotgun's a different story.

Linked ammo....Yeah, you've only got X rounds of a specific type, 4-5 different types? If you keep a different gun of each type, you can just switch guns for more ammo. Is there a button to change loadouts? I never tried, but that would make things easier. One gun of each ammo type in hand should make things a little more effective.
