kind of like rifts But the lack of instant grouping = seeing everyone health bar on the left like during a rift was a bit weird

found myself just running around healing with bmg whether people needed or not because it wasn't easy to figure out who and what area needed healing right then. could only tell if someone needed healing by getting close to them to begin with as vs if had people's hlth bars listed on left could have seen where needed to run to to heal....though the arcing with healing kind of makes up for that in that i might hit someone that doesnt need healing but it arced to 2 to 3+ others that did need healing

oh and could end up hard when someone who needed healing was running /dodging to save themselves and ur running /dodging to get in range and try to target them to heal them :-P

1 guy during 1 arkfall desperately needed healing constantly and was jumping all over the place and i kept trying to get near enough, quick enough, and target to heal = was funny as hell. I kept shouting at the screen "stay put for 1 second and ill heal your bunny hopping @ss"

hopefully, but not absolutely necessary. As said with the arcing part, it didnt matter if i hit someone that didnt need healing because could would arc to someone who did. Though would prefer to hit the 1 that did 1st then arc from there

oh, and when i hit a sweet spot where everyone was just the right distance from everyone else = was awesome to watch a healing arc go all the way around the center fall point and hit /heal everyone

If Trion have learned anything then it would be the addition of the 'instant raid group' feature of Rift. The Arkfalls were intense and great fun but felt like too many individuals with individual goals and not enough "team". I also agree with the need to have ammo drops a little more regularly because Arkfalls really eat into your ammo. Had to leave the area for an ammo cache twice.

    Great fun though!

yeah the instant group in rift contributes a lot to feeling less solo and more MMO + better chat!

myn was intense i think someone else had the same experience didnt know what the heck that red icon was then my eyes had been opened, i thought against one of the bigger bosses looked like a big grub my only issue is when there are loads of people in one place on console it lags when you have enemies effects and what not going on maybe if they instanced it as such and put like a max amount of people it would work a lot smoother on console, think i may get it on pc tho for the full experience

When I got to my first Arkfall I got possibly 1 hit then it ended -_- Worse first time ever :/ But my second time was just plain crazy

I was honestly underwhelmed as it just all felt too simple. I shot some bugs and a crystal and then didnt get loot. Turning off ark fall rewards was an odd decision and took away some of the magic.

I have the same criticism for ark falls as I do dynamic events in gw2. They need to realistically still be able to fail despite throwing large groups of players at them. I don't particularly find loot piñatas engaging in the long term.
