yes but as a meme it doesn't work that way. If someone doesn't know memes, they think it's ok. But if someone who knows some memes it doesn't work... As for me, when I saw that your first pic I didn't find it funny at all, I was thinking "you're doing it wrong")

I believe the idiom you are attempting to use is dog eat dog.

I think whoever created "Good Guy Greg" did it wrong as that face doesn't go with any of those memes http://www.quickmeme.com/Good-Guy-Greg-/popular/1/

Don't get me wrong looks better than scumbag steve, but the degraded lighting from the original image gives it a darker look and detracts from his smile thus making him more so look like some prideful COD player than a "Good Guy"

Furthermore, memes aren't just created by some uber intehweb nerds that think they know everything and try and use some stream lined method for mass production. Memes in their truest form are something that gets passed around organically not by force. AND THERE ARE NO RULES that dictate how a meme is created or passed on

There are when you're using an already existing one(ie. You can't mix up Insanity Wolf and Courage Wolf and say it is the same thing). You're doing it wrong, accept it. The meme you used was good guy greg, it doesn't matter what you think it looks like.

For all intensive purposes, they mean the same thing.
