I don't know why ignorant elitists think they can make up their own rules about how to make a popular saying or image to be passed around the internet... If one is attempting to make a meme then it is entirely up to them what picture and caption that person thinks works with the desired outcome. Whether or not elitists think it breaks a "meme rule" (which is completely rediculous and has real affect on the causality of a meme) it is up to the internet patrons to spread it around. Whether or not it breaks these "rules" has no bearing on how it will be recieved except by elitists who think they can control a meme.

I mean who exactly is gonna enforce any such rule on meme creation? and how? Some hacker pro is gonna make sure every image / caption that breaks these rules is removed from the internet, and prevent people from enjoying or spreading it. Or would such people just make pointless posts saying "You're doing it wrong!" "that's not a meme" while others enjoy the image and spread it around thus actually causing it to be a real meme not just what some in an elitists circle consider one of their "approved memes" which aren't actually memes at all since they don't have any popularity or circulation.

Here's the thing: you're not making a new meme. You're making your own version of an already existing meme, thus you have to use it how it is supposed to be used. If you want to use your own picture(that isn't already an established meme" and add a caption to it, go right ahead, but if you're going to use an already popular meme, yes, you do have to follow the "rules" of that meme.

A black stroke on white text improves legibility over any background and I'm not sure how to do that in msPaint without making a whole bunch of smaller/larger letters. Also, you can improve the quality of your saved .jpg in photoshop.

You've 2 options for color when you dive into doing the text. One is for the text the other for the backdrop if I remember correctly.

I was thinking the same thing when i was in the beta i wish they would make it to where you could backflip and frontflip!
