I feel your pain Swag... I'm getting tired of the waiting for them to approve the DLC too. Almost wonder why TRION took and made the game for consoles and PC, with this DLC add on mentality. They should have just made the game complete with all the add ons then just add content with patches that wouldn't need to get approved with the console makers.

Yep, they do... and I guess nothing can rush the process... to get DLC out.

Please release to PC then that way we can start working on bugs! I don't care about the console users sorry, just please release PC versions w/e they are done ^^

    Not gonna happen.

Either Microsoft or Sony (maybe even both) most likely have a contract with Trion specifically so that no version of the game receives extra content (DLC) before the other versions do. That, or Trion does not want to make it seem like they favor one over the other. Especially considering the fact they are already trying to balance them on a "tightrope" regarding their game and the DLC which in all honesty is a make or break deal right there. Mess up with this DLC, and face losing even more of the player base. This game went so far downhill after the first few weeks after launch that right now they are really just trying to crawl their way back to the starting line. On one end, they have the pc player base that they are rapidly losing due to the lack of content and FAR better mmo games out there. And than you have the console playerbase. The console player base was doomed from the start really, considering mmo gaming is not very popular on the consoles to begin with, which is why very few developers even look at consoles to land a mmo on them. There are just to many variations in within that playerbase and mmo games not being one of them really impacts games such as Defiance on consoles. Once new games start comming out, console users do what they do best, they follow the herd to the next big game.

Question. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN PUBLICLY STATED? You just keep telling EVERYONE that you just don't have a date. No reason why or anything. That's unsettling. That's why people are so antsy about it.

I doubt its a contract, if it was such a thing as that, then they would be also listed as sponsors on the website and the game loading screens. Sony and Microsoft both do this a lot for things they have contracts with. I'm thinking its more of the process issues of trying to get such and such approved with the two companies.

If that is the case then they can easily release the PC version. However, they probably won't do that as they are likely feeling that that would alienate and push the console players away from the game even more than the delaying of the DLC has already done.

    DLC Way behind schedule....

....."Another big patch? It’s Friday night and it’s tricky to rock a rhyme that’s right on time. We have a patch around April 15th but we’ve already started work on the massive patch that’s coming roughly 2 weeks later. There are so many things we can’t fix, add or improve right away and have to be part of a larger client patch. That’s why we have two planned. After that you should see a nice shiny DLC. "I also told you the other day that I was working on my omnipotence so what we also did to keep better focus on Live issues is that we moved the kick-off that was supposed to be tomorrow Monday for the next DLC, back a week. It only involved a relatively small part of the team, mainly artists and designers but I figured I’d give you some insight into how we actively prioritize and pivot here. And if you suddenly see Space Unicorns in PVP matches as a result of me and the artists trying fix server crashes, don’t blame me. Just enjoy the moment of Space Unicorn-ess." These are quotes from our no longer posting Nathan Richardson talking about the DLC coming out. DLC was talked about in April at release time as even two weeks after initial release. But due to fixes it was pushed back which is understandable, but it seems like thats all that is happening now, one excuse after another. Yea I want the game to be fixed but we as players need new content, after all its a MMO. There suppose to be content available for us to keep playing consistently. MMO's are always going to need fixes no matter what is released as shown in all games of genre. Just don't post something then leave everyone hanging with NO communication like was promised in the beginning. From day one it was stated that Trion was in it for the long run, then shortly after they fire most of the devs, Nathan Richardson quits posting on a regular basis, customer support gets worse and it takes weeks to hear anything back. The game is losing players. I really enjoy this game but like I said the communication that we all seen at the beginning where we were informed of dates and what was coming was amazing, then it just stopped as the game got settled in. All we as a community asks is that you just be straight with us like at day 1 and say what the plans or and where the game stands.
