Beta testing for free-to-play massively multiplayer title World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition will pick up tonight, developer Wargaming.net announced today on the game's official website.

A limited number of beta codes will be sent out today and tomorrow to those who registered to be beta testers. Those who do not receive codes this weekend are invited to apply again ( http://bit.ly/10kNkai ) for a chance at participating in future betas.

Beta tests of the latest build of World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition will take place today through Sunday, June 30 and will run from 6 p.m. to midnight ET each day. Wargaming.net encourages beta testers to report bugs and provide feedback on its official forums. The company notes this is only "phase one" of testing and new rounds will open to more testers every week.

I have received my beta invitation earlier this morning and hope to see some of you on the battlefield in these coming weeks. Have fun and good luck out there tank commanders!

The only requirement is having a Xbox Gold Membership, which isn't Wargaming's fault and they aren't happy about that and if you own a xbox 360 you should be a gold member anyway sooo.

very true.. but wargaming knew what they were getting into, since it cost them to put it on xbl in the first place (unless ms gave them alot of leeway on that just to bring some titles in)..
that puts me out though, since i cancelled xbl a while ago, still fun on pc, if outdated.,

I was alluding to the fact that it really isn't free to play, no matter how they want to word it, you had to pay money in order to play it on that system. perhaps xbox needs a new category, called, no additional cost to play.

I could be wrong but I dont think the 1st beta weekend being exclusive to North America was Microsofts call as the Devs at Wargaming.net have said that will have subsequent rounds of the beta will let everyone know when they expand.
