    Creative Irony

Trion has made a creative game with many interesting elements (cars as mounts, shoot mmo/rpg, borderlands style guns), but the bonus weekend have been very uncreative. Now don't grill me Defiance fans..I am one of you, I love the game, show, and support the devs. But come on, with the wait for the DLC around a month, they can do better job with these weekends. The XP bonus, loot drop increase, and Dodge Challenges have mostly been rotating. They should offer more unique rewards..maybe something complete so many arkfalls or pvp matches and get a unique outfit not put in the store. You could have a line of gear just for "special weekends". I am looking at the new Patriotic suit..which looks pretty cool..how about rewarding only in July for achieving some goal?

I don't care what the trolls says, Trion has proven to be fairly hands on and good about producing quality content. You can be a little more original with these bonus weekends. Before anyone says it..yes, be thankful they are doing anything. But these types of "little touches" keep people interested while they wait for the big update.

Nice post, kind of a hint of fanboy, but you kept it all up beat... Very nice and a welcomed changed from the usual posts you see here. I'll respect that and do the same.

I would agree, they could do better with the content on the weekends, maybe add in a rewind weekend event even before the show ends. I would also like to see more heavy armors in the cash shop that are more colorful and/or more realistic military like. I say realistic in that I mean more like the EMC Heavy Trooper or Ekaru Predator like. (Camouflage and all). This would living the games same old, same old outfits up.

They have done something I like too, the Raptr challenge... This is so cool and fun to see how much time you can put into the game and compare your time/position based on the number that are using Raptr to measure their game playing for this game. So that was a welcomed change. Maybe find some way to make a Raptr event for the weekend.

They have added a challenge hour for this weekend so that is a positive thing as well they are doing to better the weekend warrior experience.

What they need to do is give non-paying players a way to earn the unique outfits in the store. I couldn't give two ****s about the recolors though.

Just do the pursuits... almost every outfit in there is in some way in a pursuit. I wanted to try out the SPD Heavy Trooper outfit for instance, instead of spending money to get the SPD Heavy Trooper, I just played the Scrapwork Salvage co-op dungeon. Over two play throughs I found and achieved everything that the pursuit needed and got the EMC Heavy Trooper outfit, helmet, and a nice title. It took about an hour to do all of that. Versus using up about what, $12 dollars in bits?

You may not like the recolors in the game pursuits, but to be honest they look nice either way. And as a person that brought some of the outfits, I'm glad they don't let you easily get them in game, it makes your money feel like it was worth it. However, I like my EMC Heavy trooper more so than the Ekaru predator which I love a lot, guess its because I really did earn it in that darn dungeon.
