I love this game but, this is way to common an experience in Defiance.

Haha, oh..people are very much upset with more than that.
Careful, you might loose this fight, Anne Frankly why does everybody have to bring up the Nazis?

That's the thing-- they have the right philosophy, but they implemented it so poorly players can't see it. So they ask for other genres to get copy/pasted over.

Yeah Defiance should never have been released on consoles too old to be able to handle it. Bad move by Trion

Funny that the old consoles have no issues with games like Battlefield 3 :P Only game it ever had an issue with was crysis 3. I am sure not every PC gamer has dual graphic cards and the most expensive up to date build. There is certainly fault in the game design and if there is not it is Trion's fault and they by releasing a game unfit for consoles basically used the console users and by proxy will never make any real money off them again.

As far as I can recall, Battlefield 3 on PC was significantly prettier and had larger server sizes than the console version.

I have a fairly old computer that is just about capable of running most games on semi-decent graphics, though other games have to be run at the absolute lowest settings possible for them to be remotely playable.

With defiance I can alt-tab back and forth, render HD video in the background, and generally just treat the game like a browser window.

Your comparisons to level based controlled group size games is beyond pointless. Especially since what you consider "no issues" was actually heavily stripped down versions of the game.

This was more then likely due to the limitations of playing on 10 year old hardware. Most PCs today have better graphics built into the chip then the consoles have.

One of the biggest disappointments I have about the game is that the PC version is like playing a 10 year old game which cost today's new game prices to find out.

It is very sad though that Trion can not make any of the platforms stable.

Yup, totally agree. When you make a game it should only be made with the highest capabilities possible that you expect for its launch date. That way only a few percent can actually play the game. This game was what, 5 years in the making? At the time of conception and the start of basic code writing, the consoles were only about 2 to 3 years old. We've had a few big jumps in technology since then.

I'm not trying to beat you up on this but just putting things into perspective. Hell, when I was in high school the new pagers were all the rage. If someone had tried to explain an iPhone to me back then, I would've written them off as a nut.
